Mary Kay showcases commitment to China with new Administrative Management Center

Direct sales giant Mary Kay has showcased its long-term commitment to development in the Chinese market thanks to the opening of the new Administrative Management Center in Shanghai.

Unveiled earlier this month, the centre cost 800 million yuan to build and has 13 floors with over 14,000 sq meters. Inside, it has design features as well as office space and sports equipment.

The centre, which is also said to foster successful communications between employers, proves the company’s commitment to China, which has become Mary Kay’s main market, taking over the US.

David Holl, President and CEO of Mary Kay, told Shanghai Daily, ““Mary Kay is proud of the opportunities we provide to more than 1 million independent sales force members and their families in China.

“Our China team definitely exceeded what we thought they could do three to five years ago,” he said, as the company is also expanding the manufacturing plant in the eastern city of Hangzhou.

“This new administrative building is designed to foster better communication and innovation in China and with the exponential growth here we’re becoming more decentralized to allow the local executive teams to do a lot more.

“We hope Mary Kay China would continue to be not only the leader in terms of business size but also innovative ideas.”
